Abhyanga is the warm oil therapy at the heart of Ayurveda — a full-body massage performed with herbal oils selected for your dosha and the season. Used regularly it improves circulation, calms the nervous system, nourishes tissues, and slows the visible signs of ageing.
Each variant pairs the warm-oil massage with a complementary therapy — steam, herbal boluses, decoction shower or a four-handed rhythm — to deepen the effect.
Abhyanga + Sweda
The classical full-body warm oil massage followed by medicated herbal steam (Sweda). The steam opens the pores, allowing the oils to penetrate deeper and toxins to release through the skin.
Duration: 90 minutes
Vishesha Abhyanga + Sweda
An intensified four-handed variation — two therapists working in perfect synchronisation. Especially valued for deep relaxation, faster lymphatic drainage and rejuvenation.
Duration: 90 minutes
Abhyanga + Patrapinda Swedana
Traditional massage followed by Patrapinda Sweda — fomentation using boluses of herbs and jambira fruit. Helps stiff joints, muscular pain and several chronic conditions.
Duration: 90 minutes
Abhyanga + Pariseka
The massage is finished with a continuous shower of warm medicated decoction poured over the body — calming, deeply moisturising, and used for several vata-driven conditions.
Duration: 90 minutes

Abhyanga is a classical full-body therapy using warm herbal oils chosen for your dosha and the season. It supports detoxification, deepens circulation, nourishes tissues and restores balance to body and mind.
Improved circulation, deeper sleep, calmer mood, softer skin, reduced stiffness and a noticeable lift in energy. Many people return for it weekly or monthly as a maintenance ritual.
The warm oils lubricate the tissues and improve blood flow to the joints. Combined with Sweda or Patrapinda, it can significantly reduce stiffness and discomfort.
A regular massage focuses on muscle relaxation. Abhyanga uses dosha-specific warm oils and rhythmic strokes that work on the deeper energy channels, supporting whole-body balance.
Yes. The combination of warm oil and steady rhythmic strokes is one of the most reliable ways in Ayurveda to settle the nervous system and lift mental fatigue.
